A Cupcake Picture Puzzle

These are not for a child but for my beautiful Mom. I wanted to do something I have not done before and love it. The design idea came from BathBaby Cakes and I made a white dog (Chico) instead of a lamb. I could write a huge tribute to the kind of person my Mom is and the valuable lessons she teaches me but instead I will say that no one on this planet loves me and my brother like my Mom does. Her love is unlike any love I have felt in my lifetime from anyone else. She is amazing and kind and makes my heart full whenever I think of her. Feliz Cumpleanos Mommy!

...and the fish was THIS Big!!!!!!

Big birthday fish for a Big Birthday Boy--John! This special assembled cupcake creation was made for John to add to his very festive birthday party. Mary, his Mom wanted an Under the Sea theme and instead of the common shells and starfish, she trusted me to make something unique. For the adults, burger slider cupcakes were made and after a round of water balloons or a refreshing dash down the water slide, this fishy will be gobbled up by happy guests.
Thank you Mary for your faith in me!!

As promised, here is The Very Hungry Caterpillar himself!  These cupcakes were made for a special little girl named Samantha who consistently requests this book read to her at night.  Her Mom decided it would be the perfect theme for her 2nd birthday party.  I made two dozen chocolate cupcakes (the body) and one dozen vanilla cupcakes (his eats that are part of the story) and made his head out of vanilla as well.  I displayed them on a pink board and it came together nicely with little fondant feet and antennas too!  My family did attend the party but were not able to stay for the entire time and wish we could have witnessed the delight of all that indulged in this very healthy critter.  I got some very sweet responses today and I feel so rewarded!  Happy Birthday Samantha!!
