Brynn's Tinkerbell Birthday!

Thoughtful Aunt Eileen contacted me for her niece, Brynn's 2nd Birthday celebration! Brynn's party was a Tinkerbell theme. Eileen emailed me a picture of the cake that was ordered and asked me to make cupcakes with the same colors but to leave room for some additional toppers that were purchased separately by Brynn's Mom, Danielle. As you can see, my cupcakes looked bare till the toppers were added. I love that customers really think things through before they call me. It makes it much easier for me to meet their needs when they already know what they want! Aunt Eileen is a huge fan of my red velvets and uses the opportunity to order her very own batch to share with her co-workers aside from her family at Brynn's big bash! It's super sweet to see this family, we used to be neighbors in the old neighborhood. They are down to earth and always have every detail set when hosting a party. The family members were wearing green to support the theme too! Happy Birthday Brynn! Hope you were feeling the magic on your day and got some pixie dust sprinkled on you! XO

Dance Party Favors for Lindsey!

A week later, I finally got a little time to focus on the blog and add my daughter's favors that I made for her guests at her 7th Birthday Party. Lindsey loves to swoon over many of the orders I make throughout the year for other kids. "Mommy, can you make those for MY birthday?" "Sure," I say. By the time her birthday arrives, she wants something original and it's always simple. This year, her party was at Fun Craft in Jericho. The guests all paint and then enter a room that resembles a kiddie nightclub. Dimmed lights, loud music, a DJ booth, disco ball, etc....The dancing consisted of conga lines and some freestyle too. It gives me so much pleasure to see how many friends came to celebrate with her! Her chocolate chip cupcakes were adorned with headphones or records personalized with her first initial. These kids have never even seen a record before! I am grateful for every year that's filled with milestones and stories and precious memories. Lindsey amazes me with her kind heart and funny personality. Her toothless smile will be a memory someday so I treasure these days so much. Happy Birthday to my one and only Babycake! Hope this year is your luckiest!

Troop #3182 Brownies Rock!

These chocolate and vanilla cupcakes were made for Girl Scout Brownie Troop #3182. Requested by Brownie Mom, Diana for a meeting taking place tomorrow. I'm sure these custom treats will make these Brownies feel pretty special!

Benihana Birthday!

New customer, Diana, heard about Babycakes through her sister who referred me. (Always love that!!) Diana wanted asked me to make cupcakes for her daughter Cassandra who is celebrating her 11th Birthday with family and friends at Benihana (Japanese restaurant for those who may not know). I loved this celebration idea and we decided on a Japanese theme. All design credit goes to Lynlee's Petite Cakes. When I saw the Geisha girl, I was in love! Happy Birthday Cassandra, so happy you loved the delivery!

His and Hers Cupcakes

Repeat customer, Aida, contacted me and asked me to create cupcakes for both her son and daughter. For him, the vanilla fireman themed cupcakes (design credit goes to Be Sweet, By Maria and Lynlee's Petite Cakes). The chocolate cupcakes decorated with pastel colored butterflies and tiny flowers were for her daughter! Enjoy the sweet treats!

Class of 93 Reunion!

Sandy went to the same high school as a friend of mine who organized last year's reunion. She contacted me and wanted to order cupcakes for her Class Reunion held at Port Jazz in Port Jefferson, NY. I was happy to! Sandy decided to do half of the order with banners and edible gold sprinkles and the other half with fondant. As I walked up the leopard carpeted steps of the club, I couldn't believe a whole year had passed since I had delivered cupcakes for the same event. Made me feel great that my friend Marc passed my name along. The loyalty and support is very appreciated!

God Bless Cody on his Baptism!

My friend Kelly had three boys and her youngest, Cody, was baptized today. Kelly wanted three dozen cupcakes for Cody's celebration and I loved that she wanted a design with is name on a fondant banner. This was a new addition to the traditional requests I get for religious milestones. Very personal and in sync with other toppers. I hope that Cody's life is full of God's blessings.
