So much to celebrate!

These cupcakes were requested by Doreen who "won" a dozen Babycakes at a UCP function a couple months back and was just waiting for the right special occasion to order her prize. Her grand daughter, Samantha is turning ONE! First birthdays are so very special but I soon learned that this birthday girl has been through much more than the typical 12 month old. She has craniosynostosis (born without a soft spot) and has had multiple surgeries on her skull. I am truly honored to play even a small role in this huge milestone! It is so symbolic to have butterflies as her theme since she is merging into a better space.
Happy 1st Birthday precious Samantha!

International Delight!

These cupcakes were requested for a Hetalia themed slumber party! What is Hetalia, you ask? It's a Japanese webcomic in which the charecters represent various countries. So there you have the international flare for this party theme! Not only were the guests going to enjoy pizza, fondue and cupcakes, but also going to watch foreign (Hetalia)movies (yep, subtitles!). This is such an original idea and inspiring me to have an international girls night of my own with my friends!

Cupcake Truffles!

My best friend Stefanie has a wonderful way of lifting me up by shipping packages for my family at random times, always just because, always a huge thrill at our house. Stefanie sent these our way in time for Valentine's Day. I should have posted them sooner on the blog, but failed to. Thank goodness I did take a picture, cause they are all gone!
Happy Valentines to each and every girlfriend out there! You are my soul.

Bathtime!

My cousin and her husband adopted four children. That statement usually gets alot of reaction and it's a blessing and a wonderful time. A new start as a new family and that's when you usually throw a "Shower" but because the kids were older, I decided to call it a "Bath." The little logo on the banner was a symbol used in various ways to theme this celebration and the perfect little favor, a cupcake to-go!
It has been the most special event I've been involved in many years and so happy I was able to bake for it!

Clean Love

Such a sweet treat for an anonymous customer.

So many ways to say how you feel!!

You all remember the traditional heart shaped candy that tasted like chalk? Well, I still get a kick out of the little terms of endearment printed on them and decided to pay a little personal tribute to them. Every now and then I get request for cupcakes and the customer says "I trust you, whatever you want to do is fine." I am flattered and challenged and happy about the freedom to change my mind when brainstorming ideas. This repeat customer is Perry better known as "Handsome," that works with my husband. I know which one he's going to eat first!!
