Peace Love and Cupcakes

These chocolate PEACE cupcakes were requested by FIVE year old Olivia! These are headed to her school today for her birthday celebration!

I have to say that this is the second time that a birthday celebrant has chosen PEACE as a birthday theme and it really impresses me! I love that kids value what the symbol stands for and choose to have that on their birthday cupcake!

Jake & Olivia are 5 year old twins and very lucky to have multiple celebrations to kick off their birthday....more cupcakes to come!!

May the Force Be With You!

A repeat customer, Cyndi, has twins who are turning 5! I want to post their birthday cupcakes on the blog individually since they seem to have very seperate and individual preferences!
These vanilla STAR WARS cupcakes were requested by Jake celebrating with his classmates today at school. I hope they like some of the familiar characters from the classic film! Happy Birthday Jake....many waves of celebrations coming soon!

Do me a favor....

These individually boxed cupcakes were favors presented to every guest at Danielle's baby shower. My friend, Eileen, contacted me a while back about doing favors for her sister in-law's baby shower. It was my biggest order to date and a complex order for there were three flavors, three designs which included homemade, hand crafted fondant, two box shipments, almost 75 yards of ribbon and days of prepping. I am sorry I do not have better pictures of the cupcakes themselves. There were 36 chocolate cupcakes with fondant ladybugs, 36 vanilla cupcakes with fondant butterflies and 36 red velvet cupcakes with cream cheese icing and fondant cherry blossoms.
I did photograph the fridge because it was a sight I will never forget! All those boxed cupcakes with those adorable stickers (ordered by the customer)and wishing I had a walk in fridge since there was not enough room in one fridge but had to make room in my personal fridge to house all these favors. I have to laugh now cause at the time (probably 2 AM) I wanted to cry.
I was greeted by Danielle's mother in-law, my neighbor growing up and her gratitude and kind words were just what I needed after many hours spent on this one job. It was an event that would be special indeed.
Thank you Eileen for having faith in me and Best of Luck to Michael and Danielle as they prepare to welcome Brynn into the world!

Rosettes for the Graduate!

This order for a dozen vanilla rosettes was squeezed in with another order. I did not meet the customer personally but hope Marielle was happy with them. Congratulations Chantall on your graduation!

First Holy Communion

My friend, Laurie, contacted me months ago about doing three dozen cupcakes for her niece's Communion. I am happy that I got to meet her niece before the big day and she immediately thanked me for making them. God Bless!

Communion Breakfast

My great friend, Jackie, ordered some cupcakes for a Communion Breakfast that her kids' school is hosting. She asked for white and light blue colors and for an even split on the chocolate and vanilla flavors.
My favorite part of this order was getting to spend some time with Jackie when she came all the way from New Jersey to pick up the batch from me. Life gets so busy and although many 'girls' nights' are planned, seems like I miss most of them so we don't see eachother as often as we'd like to.
Jackie and her sister, Colleen recently started their own business,
Posh Parties LLC. I am in full support of their new endeavor and hope that the events they plan will all be successful. Check them out, especially if you are in NJ.

Here Come the Animals!

Debra Ruocco is going to be a Grandmother and boy oh boy is she excited! Debra contacted me and emailed me photos of diaper "cakes" she made for her daughter's baby shower. They were all made to match the bedding Julianne selected for her baby to-be. I took a close look and tried to make the animals represented in bedding and diaper cakes. The shower was held at Lola's in Long Beach and I secretly wished I could have stayed for the baby shower, it was decorated so beautifully and the entire restaurant was booked for the event. My cupcakes are always "guests" at the finest events around! Best of Luck to Debra and her growing family!!

Cupcake Cross

It's Communion season and my friend Mary inquired about cupcakes for John's First Holy Communion back in February. Mary trusts me but like to I send out a few ideas, she wanted something different and decided on the cupcake cross. The cost is down because there is no fondant involved. The board is light blue and just a few mini cupcakes accent the ends of the cross. I purchased pretty blue flowers, hybrid deliniums (sorry not in the photo) to "garnish" the cross. She also ordered the classic "burgers" for her guests.
Mary is the kind of person who is always doing, running and giving. It makes me feel good to know I can make her and her kids happy!!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

This adorable platter is mine to cherish forever from my beautiful family. They know my cupcake passion!
I am a stay at home Mom and it's the hardest job I've ever had but the most rewarding one! My cupcake endeavor is so important to me because it is the one "job" I can have without sacrificing the time with my kids. It something I truly love to do and sets the balance I need to meet new people, challenge myself and make people happy. I am very blessed to have this in my life and still be a stay at home Mommy. My daughter recently told me that her Daddy works hard. I asked her, "Does Mommy work hard too?" She said "Yes, Mommy, you do. You make us food and cupcakes for everybody!"
My Mother has been such a support to all that I do, always showing up to my house with some of the ingredients that I use that she'll find on sale, giving out my business cards to her friends and neighbors and simply being interested in every single order I get. If she could drive, I can bet you she'd want to help me deliver these out to my customers!
I meet so many Moms who work full time but still want to have a homemade option for their kids' parties and celebrations. I make sure that I keep things convinient for them since I know time is limited for those who are trying to juggle kid time and a full time career. I hope that all the Moms out there are being celebrated on this special day!!

Dinosaur Train

My friend Dina always stumps me when it comes to the requests for her son's birthday cupcakes! Last year, she requested Wow Wow Wubbzy and I had no idea who he was....After climbing out from under my rock, I discovered a sweet yellow fella & I was able to do a good job (according to the creator of WWW) and this year Dina stumped me again when Danny requested Dinosaur Train on PBS. I googled it and fell in love with these adorable dinosaur charecters! It was a challenge though to make them three dimensional and I researched and we both agreed on a flat design....This came with it's set of challenges becaue it was up to me and my edible pens. More of a graphic type of design but I realy hope Danny loves em!
