Long Island City Royalty!

Princess Samantha's 3rd Birthday will not take a back seat to the Royal Wedding! All the lovely princess themes represented here....magic wands, slippers, crowns, castle and even the frog prince who is waiting for a kiss! It was so much fun creating all these homemade fondant toppers by hand! The frogs and slippers were the most challenging but hoping they will make little Samantha feel very special at her party!

Happy Easter!

These little chicks are hungry and I'm kinda hoping you get hungry for them as well! These sweet chicks are just what I wanted to make for my Easter deliveries after I got a request from my friend Donna who's expecting twins this year! I wanted to give her a humorous sign of what's coming her way while still keeping in the Easter theme!
Thank you for all the support and faith in me, it pushes me to keep trying fun new ways to get you smiling with my Babycakes. Have a Blessed Easter!

Surprise Francine!

The cupcakes are super simple vanilla but the banners will have a great impact for the dinner (surprise party) to honor Francine who just turned 50 years old.

Pixie Spring Party

I love Spring for so many reasons, the little flower buds poking out of the ground, the warmer air and hoodie nights. It's a season for fresh beginnings and to drive with the windows half down...who doesn't love that?
My daughter's preschool class is having a little celebration for Spring since they will all be on break next week and I volunteered these Babycakes for her class. I'm sure the class will enjoy them along with the other goodies to welcome Spring in!

Say it with a cupcake!

As I browsed through some of my favorite foodie blogs, I found this idea but it was on a cookie. I have plenty of edible paper and colored fondant which I wanted to find more uses for and this was perfect! Bubble and Sweet, TY!!
I recently recieved a "Just Because" gift from a woman named Kelly. Kelly saw a cupcake book and bought it because it made her think of me. Gestures like this make me want to do something special and unexpected too, it's contagious! Kelly is an amazing mother of three (plus a dog) and such a kind, good hearted person. I made this batch especially for her and her beautiful family. The messages are bit scrambled. Some are easier to read than others...."Live, Love, Laugh," "Your Smile lights the World," "Because Nice Matters," "Be Kind Just Because" and "Kindness and Friendship." It's always easy to say Thank You with a card or a phone call but I knew she and her kids would love the cupcakes a little more!!

Spring Birthday

Mia's turning ONE!! First birthdays are so so special, getting through so many wonderful milestones of firsts...the first smiles, first teeth, and steps, to name a few. Mia's birthday has been planned in great detail by her loving Mom, Lilly and she had specific requests for the cupcake order which made it so easy for me to deliver and leave out the guesswork. So much to celebrate with all of nature's reminders of the Spring season and Mia's first year!
I had so much fun making these cupcakes, probably one of my favorite batches ever! Happy Birthday Mia!!

Monkey Business!

So appropriate to have some monkey business on April Fool's Day/Renee's 9th Birthday Celebration at Visage Photo Studio in Smithtown, NY.
Renee requested chocolate and vanilla monkey cupcakes with green icing for her party. She is a sweet girl who is growing way too fast! I hope she will go bannanas for these!!
