Here I come to save the day..................
Thanks to Crumbs & Dollies for their great inspiration and design. My challenge was the time spent on mixing so many seperate colors and keeping a steady hand while drawing with icing. I am not experienced with this technique and some turned out better than others. I may have to bake an extra batch for the kiddies here at home since I have tons of colored icing leftover!

Happy Birthday Ding!
It's my cousin Denise's birthday but I usually call her "Ding." She is a skilled flamenco dancer and knew she'd like these home made banners. She is very fit and health conscious and these are low fat, low calorie chocolate peanut butter filled cupcake with reduced sugar icing. They look great and hope they taste great too.

Mardi Gras!
Happy Birthday Kacey! This lucky girl is going to have an outstanding birthday celebration at at night club for kids with her chosen Mardi Gras theme. Her Mom and I went to elementary school together many moons ago & it has been my honor to prepare these for her. Eileen, her Mom, has taken care of so many details with a lot of love and thought behind it all. I truly hope these will be a sweet asset to all her party festivities!

Mary needs no Luck!
This lucky batch was baked for our friend Mary. Mary was born in Ireland and caring for kids since she was a kid herself. She cared for both of my children when I was working full time and taught me so much, loved my children as she did her own and made us all feel like extended family. Pat (her husband) and Mary are angels here on earth to us. Mary is the most positive person I have ever met and her kindness needed some recognition. I made these with her family in mind and hope all this homemade marshmellow fondant is not too sweet.

Mrs. F knits and knits
Mrs. Ferguson is my bestest friend's Mother and lives in Georgia. Over the years, she has knitted blankets and booties and whole outfits for my children and these items have all been precious to me. The blankets she's knitted has been used for both my kids' baptisms. She recently shipped a huge box of knitted hats, mittens and scarves for my kids, a plush afghan for my husband and I. This shipment particularly blew me away because it came during a difficult time for her. I was moved to tears and have kept the hand written note she wrote to me under my keyboard ever since. She is a special woman and because she happens to be visiting, I thought I'd return the gesture. It feels so good to make something with someone in mind, put alot of love into it and feel happy to let my thanks be an action, not just words.
Georgia Dragonflies
Happy Birthday to my dearest, oldest, bestest friend, Stefanie. She flew in from Georgia to share her birthday with us, in New York where she was born and raised. She loves dragonflies and requested a batch. I looked it up online and exacted (well almost) a design from "Planet Cake," colors and all. I didn't have antennas and made the bodies brown instead of black. Turns out purple is Stefanie's favorite color too. She has been my most supportive friend and my only wish is that we lived in the same state and we'd be able to work together on Babycakes. I am lucky she flies in almost annually and it's the very least I could do! I LOVE YOU STEFF!

Gone Fishing!
Happy Birthday Pop! We are planning on buying my father in-law a salt water fish (or two) for his beautiful tank in Brooklyn but obstacles keep getting in the way so baked a batch of edible ones in the meantime. He is very easy to please with sweets and I know he will probably eat all the plain vanilla ones first.
